Yolo Transportation District
Resource Navigators would like to invite you to attend a presentation on January 6, 2020, concerning transportation options in Woodland and Yolo County. As we all get older, and for those of us committed to saving the environment, the use of Public Resources for transportation becomes more important. The presentation will take place in the Sanctuary at 3:30 pm. Mr. Alan Budde, Senior Transportation Planner, for Yolo Bus and a colleague from the Para-transit program will be with us. They will answer questions, provide applications, and discuss transportation options. Please join us for this important information. A sign- up sheet will be available in the Guild Hall on the table by the window. Please join us.

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Community Outreach
Personal Care Pantry- The Daughters of the King continues to support the Personal Care Pantry operated by United Methodist Church in Woodland. Everyone, who has assisted, has walked away profoundly affected by the needs they see and the gratitude of the recipients. We have had volunteers from the Church itself, which makes our hearts happy. I have asked Dixie Clark to write up her thoughts on her experience and they are included below. We are proud that as a congregation we are moving to engage, encourage, assist, and support our community. In December, we served over 100 families and as winter settles in, we are expecting more families. Please let any member of DOK know if you can join us or need more information. We appreciate all donations in product form or money to purchase needed items. All donations should be dropped off at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and we will see that they get to United Methodist Church.
I participated for the first time @ the Personal-Care Pantry as an “escort” in December.
It is well-planned and prayerfully thought out. The atmosphere is caring and respectful to all.
Thanks to the Methodist Church for organizing and providing the space and time each month. Thanks to St. Luke’s Daughters of the King (DOK) for supporting the Personal-Care Pantry as a primary service project. Consider sharing an hour or two of your time monthly in a way that directly and positively affects our Community.
A CNN Hero nominee, being recognized for extraordinary humanitarian aid, reflected this past week, “We are at the peak of Grace when we help others in their greatest need.”
